Alright, so I just took advantage of the incredible deal Newegg was running on the Phantom Series NE783K system and purchased it on Black Friday. The system didn't get here until the following Thursday (12/04), though that was no fault of IBP since UPS dropped the ball on shipping. Since then, I've had nothing but problems.

To start off, on my first night I very quickly noticed that I was having the exact same issue as thefatmonk11 in this topic from last month, perhaps not coincidentally with the exact same card (a GTX 970). Windows wouldn't recognize the card, I couldn't install any updates, and the Device Manager reported an unrepairable problem with the card (Code 43).

I have tried everything, including completely uninstalling all Nvidia software and drivers and reinstalling them from a clean state, but despite 'succeeding' the installation always ends in failure and the same problem persists. Nvidia Geforce Experience asked me to install the same drivers over and over, and no programs will recognize the GPU, instead only finding 'Windows Generic Video Driver.'

So I emailed and eventually called tech support on Friday. After completing the troubleshooting steps (including reinstalling the drivers for the 15th time, physically removing and then reseating the card, etc.), the tech determined there was a hardware issue and began the RMA process. I filled out a form online and the following day (12/06) I received an automated reply with the RMA number. Since it was the weekend, I wasn't able to ship out the computer and I still have it.

Well, this afternoon I happened to boot it up one more time, only to discover a further component had failed: this time the SM Bus Manager, which also now had a yellow exclamation point in the Device Manager and couldn't be repaired by Windows (attempting to update/revert drivers did nothing).

On top of that, I've determined that the two USB ports on the front/top of the PC case are non-functional.

At this point, I'm getting very frustrated and no longer looking forward to RMAing the computer, especially after having read numerous horror stories of people here initiating the RMA process, only to have their computers sit in a warehouse for months on end while being given the runaround. I'm also not at all confident that yet another issue won't develop if I go through the lengthy RMA process.

I was really looking forward to playing with this amazing machine (and you can't beat the price point), but every one of my three days of ownership thus far have been nothing but a constant headache.

Any support/assistance with these issues would be greatly appreciated.
